Dolphins Stop Momentum Despite Gesickis Griddy Dance

It was only a few weeks ago that the Miami Dolphins had their hopes of a successful 2020 season dashed to pieces. The team had started the season with a lot of promise and momentum, but they quickly fizzled out as they encountered several early losses, leaving the team and its fans wondering what had gone wrong.

But the Dolphins have suddenly regained their momentum, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. After losing three straight games, the Dolphins have since gone on a three-game winning streak, with two of those wins coming against division rivals.

The Dolphins’ turnaround has been led by the stellar play of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. The veteran signal caller has faced criticism for his poor play in the early part of the season, but he has since been on fire, throwing for 785 yards and 8 touchdowns in the past three games. His leadership has been instrumental in the team’s resurgence.

The Dolphins have also received a huge boost from their running game. Running back Kalen Ballage has been a revelation, running for 212 yards and 3 touchdowns in the team’s last two games. He has provided the Dolphins with a much-needed spark on the ground, and has helped to take some of the pressure off of Fitzpatrick.

The Dolphins’ defense has also been outstanding in the past few weeks. After giving up an average of 30.5 points per game in their first five games, they have allowed just 13.7 points per game in their last three. The unit has come up with big plays when needed, and has been instrumental in the team’s resurgence.

Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that the Dolphins have done this without star wide receiver DeVante Parker, who has been sidelined for the last two weeks due to a hamstring injury. Parker is expected to return in the near future, and his presence will only further bolster the Dolphins’ already potent offense.

The Dolphins have also been the beneficiaries of some favorable scheduling in recent weeks. They have faced several weaker opponents during their three-game winning streak, and have taken advantage of the situation to get back on track. The team still has some tough opponents on the horizon, but they will be in a much better position to compete if they can keep up their current level of play.

The Dolphins’ sudden resurgence has given the team and its fans something to cheer about. After a disappointing start to the season, the team has shown that they can compete with some of the best teams in the league. If the Dolphins can continue to play at this level, they could be a serious contender in the AFC East.

The Dolphins still have a long way to go before they can be considered a legitimate playoff contender, but the team has certainly stopped the momentum that had been dragging them down. With the team seemingly back on track, the future is looking bright for the Miami Dolphins.
